I've never been one for setting New Years Resolutions I'm more of an intentions kind of girl, for the most part it's because of the pressure that comes with resolutions. I've always been a firm believer that you will make changes and start plans to enforce those changes when you are ready to do so. I was listening to a Podcast a couple of days ago and the interviewee said "it's better to start resolutions at the end of the month, when people are settled back into their routines." She was absolutely right, now is the time, it's still a new year so why not set sail while the winds of change are passing through?
The Time Is Now
The first month of the year is practically over today and for the most part we've settle in and are ready to make the rest of the year all about us. Just because you didn't start at the very beginning of the year doesn't mean that you're late to the party, if anything you wanted to make sure you got the best chair at the party to people watch from and now you're ready to make the changes and set the intentions that you want to see come true this year.
The Moon is on Your Side
If you're into the Moon like me and my girl gang than you know that todays Full Moon in Leo is a powerful moon, a moon that allows us to go within ourselves to discover who we really are and how to expand ourselves in the directions we should be going toward and complete circles that need to be completed to move into a stronger and clearer you.
Make these intentions about you
In the past when I would set "resolutions" I had one goal in mind each time, pleasing others. That mind set was wrong and harmful to my whole existence because "here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide) that every time you set a goal that goal is for you and nobody else. So make these intentions about you, think about the things you want to accomplish.
Write all of it down
Nothing is a better fact checker than putting things down on paper and keeping that paper safe. I like writing things down, it makes me actually pay attention when I'm writing. It also holds me accountable. So write your intentions/resolutions/promises to yourself down, and look at them constantly, it'll be come your honesty check in to see how you're doing.
Have you set intentions or resolutions this year? How are you holding up on them?
