Hi!!! Ok… I know who wants to read on a Friday before leaving the office? But these are sooooo good.
VICE || The first article I want to share is on Instagram influencing and marketing— from Vice. I’ve been getting a lot of questions about the platform changing, the algorithm, and the hiding of likes. Vice asked Indian Instagram stars to share their views on how the platform and their responses are wonderful. I personally think it’s great that they asked Indian Instagramers for adVICE on this article… first, because Indian has one of the fastest growing economies in the world— from a consumer point asking the tech savvy country with buying power… how could you go wrong? And second, because India also has one of the largest populations on the planet at 1.3 Billion people, at least 24 spoken languages, and 4 major religions. So when looking at numbers, this is where they are. There are a lot of good take aways from this article, from why hiding likes is actually a GREAT thing, to a not so happy advocate for the opposite.
The Thirlby || Appreciating food without appropriating is SOOO IMPORTANT. Technology… must importantly Instagram has made it easy for all of us to discover new to us foods, new to us cultures, new to us experiences. While these new cultures and foods are popping up, it’s important to remember and respect the cultures where these foods are coming from without making claim to them.
Washington Post || This guy airdrops photos of his doggie to people on the metro… and I’m no seriously reconsidering riding the metro more often.
Martha Stewart || If you have been reading, or following for a while— you know that I adore sustainable fashion! Loving with the sisters at Doen are creating, their approach to clothing. Loved hearing what their favorite products are.
Bustle || Finding personal style can be such a hassle. Esp when you might not exactly be the size that the runway shows and magazines expect you to be. Luckily for all of our mental health… that is changing.
